Dear Wagner Alumni,
I’m delighted to share with you how much we continue to accomplish as a community. Here are this month’s happenings and highlights:
- Congratulations to Professor Julia Lane, who was selected for the 2023 Class of Academy Fellows of The National Academy of Public Administration. We are proud that Julia is included in this class of 60 leaders in the field of public administration!
- TIME Magazine’s 100 Next recognizes rising leaders who rethink accepted ideas to create possibilities for millions of people. Wemimo Abbey (MPA 2015) and co-founder Samir Goel are recognized as innovators for the impact they’ve achieved with Esusu, a fintech company that’s revolutionizing how Americans can build credit history.
- NYU's Alumni Changemakers award honors alumni entrepreneurs whose accomplishments build a better world. NYU Wagner's Natalia Cineas (MS 2009) from NYC Health + Hospitals, and Hunter Johansson (MPA 2019) from Solar Responders, are among this year's winners. They're recognized for championing equity within the nation's largest public healthcare system and for harnessing renewable energy in resilient emergency response, respectively.
