NIH-funded training highly recommended by prior CPH Faculty: This fall, Compass will be holding its fifth cohort of an NIH-funded program that provides training and mentoring for early-career faculty and late-stage postdocs at U.S. academic institutions. Compass Scholars develop their practical leadership and management skills for leading a lab or research team. The program is open to those who lead, or plan to lead, a lab or research team. We help researchers create supportive research environments that are productive, rigorous, and collaborative. The fall cohort launches September 9, 2024. Interested scholars should apply here by August 12!
More than 400 scholars from more than 110 institutions have participated in this NIH-funded program! Compass is an intensive 10-week program delivered remotely. It includes independent and team-based learning focused on best practices and developing a personalized Lab Manual. Peer mentoring and live virtual events with experienced, successful mentors create a forum to share ideas and practical advice. Graduates remain part of the Compass community with access to resources beyond the 10 weeks! Biomedical researchers across disciplines are welcome. Biomedical research is broadly defined. It includes, but is not limited to, basic sciences, clinical, public health, computational, and behavioral/social research disciplines.
More information and the application are available on our website at researchercompass.org. View the flyer here.
