Westcentral
Where Are They Now? Former WMGI-FM morning hosts Nick Steele and Kristen Flowers join for mornings at Country/KWJJ-FM in Portland, Oregon. Scott Roddy (who once programmed in Indy) programs "99.5 The Wolf."
Southeast
Here's an update to the Louisville area FM tower that partially collapsed in October. The tower is in Elizabeth, Indiana, near Indiana 111 (west of Louisville) and it held antennas for three broadcasters.
Greg Hahn, Chief Engineer at SummitMedia Louisville, tells IRW that workers put up a 200 foot auxiliary tower at the site of the partially collapsed tower. The original tower will be replaced. All three stations are back on the air from the auxiliary tower, at reduced power: Summit Media's Classic Hits/WSFR (107.7fm, Corydon), Alpha Media's Urban/WGZB (96.5fm, Lanesville), and Way Media's Contemporary Christian/WAYK (105.9fm, Valley Station, Kentucky).
Southcentral
Robert Freeman becomes PD/mornings of White River's Country/WKKG (101.5fm, Columbus), succeeding Kelsey James, who exits the cluster. Mr. Freeman last worked for sister Classic Hits/WWWY (106.1fm, North Vernon). Michael Carter now hosts morning drive on WWWY.
Southwest
Midwest Communications' Evansville radio stations all have new website designs. Check out Classic Rock/WABX (107.5fm, Evansville), AC/WIKY (104.1fm, Evansville), Country/WLYD (93.5fm, Chandler), and CHR/WSTO (96.1fm, Owensboro, Kentucky).
Way Media's Contemporary Christian/WUEV (91.5fm, Evansville) drops those call letters and becomes WJWA. In December 2019, Way Media closed on their purchase of WUEV from the University of Evansville.
B.L.S. Entertainment's Urban AC/WEOA (1400am, Evansville) and translator W253BF (98.5fm, Evansville) add the syndicated Breakfast Club in morning drive.
