PSU opens downtown Portlandās first dog park: Valhowlla |
Last weekās Placemakersā Exchange wrapped up with a celebration: the official opening and naming of the Valhowlla dog park on the PSU campus. Downtown Portland's first dog park is located at SW 11th Ave. and Market St., close to the Vernier Science Center. The park includes separate areas for large and small dogs and a double-gated entry to prevent dogs from getting out to the street. The need for a dedicated dog park came from PSUās 2019 Open Space Plan, which noted off-leash dogs increasingly present around campus.
