BACK-TO-SCHOOL NIGHT

Wednesday, August 16
Back-to-School Night is designed to provide parents the opportunity to attend an abbreviated version of their child's class schedule (without their child).
This year, Back-to-School Night will take place on Wednesday, August 16, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Parents will meet briefly with each teacher to learn about course content and policies for homework, testing, and grading.  You will receive an email from Amy Pitcher on Tuesday, August 15, with a reminder, a full agenda for the evening, and your child's schedule. Please bring the schedule with you to use as a guide.
Plan to arrive early to allow for a few extra minutes to find your way to your student's first-period or zero hour classroom once you are in the building. For more information, please contact Shani Simonson in the Principal's Office at 317.524.7080.

Student Spotlight

REAGAN CLAYMON '18

Loves About Brebeuf
I love the lower tennis court on the right, the social studies office, and the art wing.
But in reality, I love that so many people and places at Brebeuf have impacted me. I have so many memories at Brebeuf, and it feels like a second home and second family for me, and I think that is what makes Brebeuf such a special place.
Class You Are Most Looking Forward to This Year
I am most looking forward to Introduction to Entrepreneurship taught by Mr. VanSlambrook this semester, because it’s a new class to Brebeuf. The class will be very hands-on with business-related concepts that I am excited to learn. Also I have been waiting since my freshman year to take a class with Mr. VanSlambrook!
Future Plans
I hope to attend either Bulter, Belmont or Indiana University next year to hopefully study pharmacy and/or business.
Teams & Co-Curriculars
Varsity Tennis Team all four years
Varsity Golf Team for 2 years
Varsity Cheer Team for 3 years
Senior Class President/Student Council all four years
Ignatian Scholars
Brebeuf Jesuit Student Photographer
Job at Encore Sotheby’s Realty
Brebeuf Mentoring Program
Completed the IU Honors Foreign Language Program
Random Facts
This summer I went to four countries including Spain, Portugal, France, and London.
Both sports I play at Brebeuf are coached by my dad.
My birthday is in six days.
How did you spend your summer?
I spent six weeks of my summer studying abroad in León, Spain through the Indiana University Honors Program. While abroad, I lived with a family, attended school, and was completely immersed in the Spanish language and culture. Following the program, my family met me in Spain and we traveled to two other countries in Europe.
What are you most looking forward to during this school year?
I am most looking forward to the traditions and little things that make Brebeuf what it is.
