I have been working hand in hand with Women's Choice Network (the local Pregnancy Center) to connect with teen moms. I visit the center when they have a minor that is pregnant. On May 28th I'll participate in a networking opportunity at the center to share YoungLives with teen parents. Because of this partnership, I have met 7 new teen parents. Jaylee, Jazmine, Janiya, Raud, Trinity, Iyana, & Justice!!! Also, a Young Life staff person introduced me to a teen mom named Negley, who has attended our YoungLives Club three times.

Speaking of Club...

Many thanks to Lloyd and Tani Massie, long-time friends and supporters of YoungLives, who brought a delicious dinner AND their music ministry to Club in March! We ate meatball sandwiches, played silly games, and sang worship songs along with Lloyd and Tani -- we even played some rhythm instruments!

April's Club was the best
one yet!
After dinner & some fun we had our Club talk. We talked about Jesus and the cross. Holy Spirit moved powerfully in the hearts of the teens during the Club talk. After the talk, I invited them to decide how they wanted to respond to what Jesus did for us all. Two teens gave their life to Jesus!!! Raud & Iyana are now Believers in Christ! It was such a beautiful moment!💝💝💝

On May 10

we had a surprise baby shower at my home for Jaylee, who is due to give birth on May 31st. We played fun games, ate yummy food, & blessed Jaylee with an abundance of gifts. She is such a sweet girl & we enjoy loving her.

May's Club was a spa day for our
teen moms. After a terrific dinner provided by Grace Life Church, we pampered them with facials, hand massages, personal prayer time, & gifts. While the teen moms were being pampered, our teen dad, Raud, enjoyed playing games with my husband James. Also, James has agreed to mentor & disciple Raud 🙂.

As we mentioned last time,

on August 7th we will be driving to Lake Champion in New York for summer camp! Please keep this in your prayers. As of today, we have one teen mom, Jaylee, who plans to go to camp this year, but we are believing for more. YoungLives camp is a wonderful opportunity for these girls to get to know Jesus in new ways, grow in their faith and have a blast with other teen moms. Please consider making an investment in sending a teen mom to camp! Camp this year will cost $900 per camper (including transportation). We also need a camp childcare volunteer (August 6 - 11)! Childcare volunteers watch the children during the camp meetings so the moms can focus on what they are learning about the Lord. But volunteers also get the chance to enjoy some fun between the meetings! If God is putting this important ministry opportunity on your heart, either to donate or to volunteer, please let us know.

Prayers are appreciated for

God to send us young female Believers to mentor our teen moms. Also, please pray for Dyna, Sandrine, Gabi, Negley, Jaylee (her baby's due May 31), Iyana (her baby's due November 23), Janiya (her baby's due July 31), Raud (first male teen parent & Janiya's boyfriend).
