Ivan Allen Faculty Named to Spring CIOS Honor Roll |
Numerous faculty members from across the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts have been named to the Spring 2024 Student Recognition of Excellence in Teaching Honor Roll.
The School of Modern Languages celebrated 14 honorees, while 13 faculty members from the School of Literature, Media, and Communication were recognized. The School of History and Sociology had seven faculty members honored, and the School of Economics saw five faculty members on the list. The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs and the School of Public Policy each had three faculty members receiving this distinction.

Shatakshee Dhongde (Economics) received an award from the HBCU Research Collaboration Forum for her proposal, “Analyzing Food Insecurity in Atlanta,” which includes funding for her and her research partner, Mona Ray at Morehouse College.

Ilya Gokhman, Tony Harding, Juan Rogers, Brian Y. An, and Chris Hayter (Public Policy) visited Universidad Externado de Colombia and Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá to discuss research opportunities and potential collaborations. Rogers presented "Challenges and Approaches to University Extension in Latin America," followed by a networking event to explore partnerships between Externado and Georgia Tech.

Justin Biddle and Robert Rosenberger (Public Policy) participated in the 2024 Data Science Leadership Summit at Georgia Tech, where Biddle spoke on AI governance and Rosenberger co-chaired the AI & Ethics session, which included panelist Yanni Loukissas (Literature, Media, and Communication).
