At Clemson, we are strengthening the pipeline from the college to industry by working with corporate partners to provide exemplary educational experiences that prepare students to become the leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs of the future. In this month’s newsletter, we highlight some of these collaborations, along with the resources, expertise and connections they provide to help students develop the skills they need to launch rewarding careers and make a meaningful impact on the world.
With industry support and guidance, our faculty and students are making an impact in critical areas, including advanced materials, artificial intelligence, sustainable infrastructure and next-generation transportation. Their work includes designing clean-water systems for rural communities, developing safeguards against harmful AI-generated content, making autonomous vehicles safer and drawing inspiration from nature to develop new advanced materials. These projects also provide students with valuable hands-on experience and help them develop skills such as leadership and teamwork that will serve them throughout their careers.
These educational experiences help lay the foundation for what our students go on to achieve after graduation. This issue features several alumni and friends of the college who have built rewarding careers and are now generously offering their time and treasure to help shape the next generation.
