Dry spell: Roberts County remains one of three fully dry counties in the state — meaning no alcohol sales are allowed. (Editor's note: That's kind of a vibe when your only incorporated town is named Miami.)
Deep red: By some measures, Roberts County is the most Republican county in America. It gave Republicans the largest county-level margin in recent presidential elections, yet fewer than 900 people live here — meaning the county's outsized place in political maps stands in sharp contrast to its remarkably small population.
One last thing: Roberts County isn't packed with tourist attractions, but that's part of the appeal. Visitors come for sweeping High Plains scenery, quiet backroads and access to stretches of the Canadian River breaks.
