Board Approves Temporary Sign Variance

The RVR Master Association Board has voted to grant a temporary variance to the community’s Political Sign Policy. The variance allows Black Lives Matter signs to remain in front yards at RVR through the end of November. The existing Political Sign Policy <link here> does not allow these signs, but the Board felt the policy didn't adequately address political issues facing our nation and our community today. The Board adopted the variance last week by Unanimous Written Consent, as allowed by Colorado law. We will revert to the existing sign policy when the variance period expires at the end of November. The Board reserves the right to revisit the variance, and potentially modify or revoke it, if the Board becomes aware of significant dissatisfaction within our community arising from the temporary variance.

Fall Pool Update

With the recent announcement that Roaring Fork Schools will open with distance learning this fall, we have received many inquiries as to when the large recreation pool will close.
We are happy to share that members will still be able to enjoy the pool through September. However, much of our summer staff will go away soon and the Ranch House will be making operational adjustments. The last day for lifeguards and slide use will be Sunday, Aug. 16. We are working hard to get the pool staffed and the slide open for weekend use after Aug. 16. and we will keep you updated on dates in a special email announcement.
Stay tuned for more information on the Recreation Pool's final day of operation.

Reminders & Highlights

Lap Pool Etiquette

Many of you are beating the summer heat by getting your workout done in the pool and the lap pool is especially popular at this time. We would like to give the greatest number of members the opportunity to enjoy the lap pool and we will be restricting pool reservations to half hour blocks on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Please be respectful of other swimmers and practice the following lap pool etiquette:
  • Be courteous about how many days in a row you book a lane and consider spreading out your use of the pool to every other day.
  • Do not book a lane more than once a day. Duplicate reservations under the same name in a single day will be deleted.
  • If you can't make your reservation, please be sure to cancel it online to free up the lane for another user.
