Alan Jennings Retirement

Wishing Alan all the best after 40+ years at Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley, including 31 years as the Executive Director.
For the past 40 years, Alan has been happiest when he's fighting mad. Whether it's extracting money from wealthy corporations to sprinkle into the inner cities, running the Lehigh Valley's busiest homeless shelters and food pantries, cracking down on predatory lenders or leading a rally in Washington to raise the minimum wage, Alan did it the only way he knows how: ferociously.  Read the full article on Alan, written on June 13, 2015, written by Matt Assad of the Morning Call, titled "After decades of fighting for the poor, Alan Jennings now in a fight for himself" to get to know Alan's dedicated career advocating for others.
You may also view Alan's official announcement from the CACLV November 2020 Newsletter, which features more articles about Alan, his video statement and his departure.
Congratulations And Enjoy The Next Chapter, Alan!

During his Harrisburg career he worked with the Community Action Commission (now Tri County Community Action) as a partner, and between 2007 and his hiring at CAAP, he was a board member for the agency. He is an Eagle Scout and remains an active participant in Scouting.  Congratulations, Dan!
“I am honored to be selected by the CAAP board to guide the association and be the chief advocate for our member agencies during this time of organization transition and social change,” shares Dan on his appointment.

Contact Congress on Urgent Need to Allow Indirect Cost Rembursement

NCAF, National and CAPLAW have been working with Congress and the DOT - and ask for your help.
As you are aware, the Department of Treasury issued guidance to states prohibiting the reimbursement of indirect costs in the emergency rental assistance funds passed into law late December 2020. We've heard from many of you that this is prohibitive to administering the funds.
Please reach out to your Member of the House of Representatives and your Senators and ask them to contact the Department of Treasury to resolve this issue. Get more information here.
