Since 1999, the annual Florie Gale Arons Poetry Program has brought a distinguished woman poet to Newcomb Institute for a poetry reading and workshop. This year, the program will feature the 24th Poet Laureate of The United States and a TIME magazine woman of the year, Ada Limón.

|
Ada Limón is the author of six books of poetry, including The Carrying, which won the National Book Critics Circle Award for Poetry. Her most recent book of poetry, The Hurting Kind, was shortlisted for the Griffin Poetry Prize. As the Poet Laureate, her signature project is called You Are Here and focuses on how poetry can help connect us to the natural world.

A Halloween themed fair where students, faculty and staff can engage with campus health partners, play games and receive some free candy and snacks. There will be fun photo opportunities!

First-Generation College Celebration
Friday, November 1st | 12-2pm | LBC Pocket Park
We are proud and excited to celebrate our first-generation college students! There will be food, games, activities, and campus partners with information and resources to help students be as successful as they can be here at Tulane. First-gen supporters are also welcome to attend!

Advising Registration Support Drop-Ins
November 11th-15th | 1-4 PM | Mussafer Hall, LBC, HUB Garage, and Virtually
Advisors will be available for drop-ins (no appointment necessary) across campus. Drop-in advising is great for quick schedule checks, short-term registration panic, and questions regarding course options. Come prepared with questions, review your degree audit beforehand, and have a tentative schedule in your planner.
