UO Natural Areas Restoration Day: Spend a morning helping remove invasive species to keep our slice of nature thriving. Water and snacks will be provided. Remember to wear closed-toe shoes.

High Drama art exhibit: Exploring the theme of “drama,” the new exhibit includes Japanese 18th–20th century woodblock prints, as well as modern and contemporary pieces. Opening day is Saturday, Aug. 22, and students get free admission to the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art.

- Electrical Testing Day: The campuswide electrical testing will take place Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 12 and 13, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Successful tests will be undetectable on campus, but a failed test will result in a ten-second power outage.

Street closures: FYI, some streets on campus and the surrounding area will be closed through either August 10 or 12, due to the World Athletics U20 Championships at Hayward Field. Some parking is affected as well.

Craft Center: From ceramics to woodworking, the Craft Center has open studios to practice your talents and creativity. Mondays through Fridays until August 29; times vary by studio.
