Good Evening:
Let's start this issue with several remembrances of Lafayette's Bob Vizza, who passed away last week:
Country/WYCM (95.7fm) PD Dave North remembers Bob Vizza.
Chris Nolte with Lakeshore Public Radio in Merrillville remembers Bob Vizza: "Bob and his spouse Chris are dear friends. I worked at WASK Radio begining in December 1979 for about three years, and returned to WASK to work for Max Showalter in 1985 until 1990. I had the great fortune to work with Bob both sides, and with Chris until she left to work for Mike Piggott at TV 18. He also came over to what was then WXUS (now WKHY) when it changed formats and then he returned to WASK-FM.
Bob was the nicest -- and funniest -- person I ever worked with! (for that matter, so was Max, who passed away earlier this year) I was always impressed by his dedication to his craft despite his illness. I feel like another little bit of my past is gone."

Northwest
La Porte County Broadcasting receives U.S. Bankruptcy Court approval to sell the assets of their Oldies/WLOI (1540am, La Porte) and Country/WCOE-FM (96.7fm, La Porte). To Spoon River Media, LLC. Brent Lee and Matt Moore own Spoon River Media, which owns an FM in Cuba, Illinois (40 miles southwest of Peoria). The $237,000 sale price includes the tower site ("Eagle 96.7" has their antenna on WLOI's tower). Of note, there's also an application for an FM translator for WLOI on 106.5fm. Finally, WLOI runs 250 watts (daytime only), while WCOE is a Class A (3000 watts at 262.5 feet, horizontal polarization only).

For nearly four years, Kayla Moody was a reporter and weekend anchor for Nexstar's ABC affiliate WEHT-TV (Channel 25, Evansville) and Mission Broadcasting's CW affiliate WTVW (Channel 7, Evansville). In April 2015, Ms. Moody left Evansville and went to Louisville, Kentucky, where she anchored and reported for WHAS-TV.
