1. Stacy Leeds begins her term as The University of Tulsa's 22nd president.

After a smooth leadership transition, President Leeds says she is ready to prepare campus for the upcoming academic year. Her future plans include doubling down on local recruitment and expanding partnerships across industry and nonprofits to develop programs that meet regional workforce needs.

2. Take me to your leader

An alumna of UTulsa Law (J.D. '97), Leeds is the former dean of the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and a former vice chancellor at the University of Arkansas. 3. Happy Birthday, USA!

Offices at The University of Tulsa will be closed Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day.

5. Get your kicks on Route 66

Hundreds of people joined us on the UTulsa campus to watch the Route 66 Capital Cruise in honor of the historic highway's 100th birthday. More than 3,500 classic cars drove down 11th Street in a record-breaking parade. Missed out? Take a look at some of the cars on our website.

6. There's nothing more American than baseball. UTulsa invited incoming law and graduate students out to ONEOK Field to meet their classmates, faculty and deans ahead of the new school year.

7. UTulsa's Oklahoma Cyber Innovation Institute welcomed the public to its new home at 101 Archer.

At the corner of Archer and Boston, OCII is now strategically placed in the heart of downtown Tulsa's growing technology hub. The organization will continue to focus on cyber education, small business cybersecurity services and autonomous vehicles.
