Oregon Governor Kate Brown announced today that Multnomah County will re-enter the High Risk level for COVID-19 beginning Friday, April 9, through at least April 22. The new risk designation will decrease capacity for indoor dining, gyms, and churches, as well as indoor and outdoor gatherings. The University will adjust capacity at campus facilities accordingly. Summer Housing Discounts offered

Students who take six or more credits during the 2021 summer term and live on-campus will receive an institutional discount of 50 percent on their housing costs, subject to availability. This brings the weekly cost down to $113.50 per week. Limited food service may be available on-campus on a cash basis—decisions are still being made in this area. Applications for summer housing are open now.

Welcome to The Bluff will replace Weekend on The Bluff as the preview event for admitted students this year. The admissions office will host 16 outdoor information sessions over two weekends to reduce the number of visitors on campus at any one time and in any single location.

The Pilots Prevent Dashboard tracks all COVID-19 tests conducted on campus. For the week ending April 4, University of Portland conducted 987 tests. There are currently 2 new positive cases among off-campus students with 10 on-campus students in quarantine and 0 on-campus students in isolation. See the full dashboard.
