SUPPER FOR SIX PROJECT - January 29 - February 5

The Community Service Council is organizing a school wide effort to support the United Way of Franklin County's "Supper for Six" program. This project gives a boost during the winter vacation week to families who rely on school meal programs for their children during other times of the year. By teams, students are asked to bring in non perishable food items to fill a grocery bag (or two) to provide a themed meal for families supported by the United Way and its partner agencies. Bags will be delivered on February 6 and distributed that evening.

Parents, please check with your students and help them select items and quantities to match their team's meal theme. The sign up sheet, by team, can be accessed HERE.

Thanks for everyone's support and participation in this project.

Farewell to Our Network of Complimentary Schools Visitor

Today we said goodbye to Ava, a 10th grade student from Germantown Friends School who joined our community for a few weeks through the Network of Complementary Schools. While here she jumped right in to classes and all school activities. It was a great pleasure to have her with us, and we’re grateful  to the Rosner/Corwin family for opening up their home to make it possible.

Academy parents who would like to learn more about the Network and students with an interest in taking advantage of this wonderful learning opportunity should contact Nora Bates Zale
