Meet the Director:
Katie Lemon
| |
Katie Lemon is a writer/director from Austin, Texas, currently based in New Jersey. She holds a BA in Public Relations from the University of Southern California and an MFA in Production/Directing from UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television. During her time at UCLA, she was honored with the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) Award, the Jean and Ruth Negulesco Endowment Fellowship, and the Antonio David Blanco Fellowship.

Meet the Director:
Eva Steinmetz
| |
Eva Steinmetz is a Philadelphia-based theater and filmmaker and is the lead artist of her ensemble theater company, The Eva Steinmetz Project, where she directs and produces original productions. A graduate of Bard College, she received the Ana Itelman Prize for creativity and invention in directing, and also completed the Pig Iron School for Advanced Performance Training. Eva is currently pursuing an MFA in Filmmaking at Temple University.

Jay Stern is a filmmaker who has directed four feature films and over 30 short films, which have been showcased at festivals across the US, Canada, and Europe. He is also a founder, producer, and co-host of the Iron Mule Short Comedy Screening Series, which has been running monthly since April 2002. Jay currently teaches film at Rider University and is developing his next feature, set to begin shooting in 2025.

Queen hopes this film inspires people to start living their lives before it’s too late - the message about not wasting time; about finding joy now before tragedy strikes; of cancer awareness especially to black women and the importance of cancer screenings. Queen Stewart may have found her purpose
through cancer but cancer is certainly not her message. Create urgency in your life. Find your joy. However small.
