UO EVENTS
- Explore options to get around without a car at Transportation Day. Stop by the EMU Green before the event ends at 2:00 p.m. today to learn about the LTD bus system, bike share, Walktober events, e-bikes, and to get your bicycle tuned up. You could win Duck Bucks and other prizes too.
- Bring your bestie to Freebie Friday and make cute friendship bracelets on Oct. 4, noon–2:00 p.m. by the EMU’s O Desk on the ground floor. Who knows, you might even make new friends.
- Discover business-affiliated clubs, organizations, and opportunities at the Lundquist College Student Involvement Fair on Friday, Oct. 4, 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. in the Lillis Atrium. Open to all majors.
- More of a film lover? The University Film Organization and Cinema Studies Open House will get you connected with cinema studies faculty and the UFO, a student club for filmmakers. Come by for free food and film-related prizes on Monday, Oct. 7, 6:00 p.m. in LLC South Performance Hall. Open to all majors.
- Join Global Education Oregon to discuss all things budgeting for study abroad—from scholarships and financial aid, to program budgets and conversions. The Study Abroad Budget Workshop will be in 122 McKenzie Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 3:00–4:00 p.m.
- UO students who identify as Dreamer, DACA, or undocumented can register to attend the Dreamer Welcome Night on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 5:00–7:00 p.m. There will be free food and school supplies. Email uodreamers@uoregon.edu with your questions.

- Get ready for a Ducks gear giveaway before the first home football game of the school year. Bring your UO ID to the outside of the EMU’s Fishbowl to get your free merch on Friday, Oct. 4, 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
- Got a voice and not afraid to use it? Audition for the all-male a cappella group On The Rocks starting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 in 104 EMU.
- Make yourself heard and be an advocate for other students by applying to be on the Student Advisory Board for the Division of Student Services and Enrollment Management. Priority will be given to those who apply by Wednesday, Oct. 16.
- Make a difference by joining the UO Advocates. You’ll help secure student aid, shape policies, and fight for the future of higher education.
- Due to changes to federal Title IX regulations, almost all UO faculty and staff must report to the Title IX coordinator any disclosure of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, including those made by a student. - Grab a friend and get moving at a free Navarasa dance workshop teaching South Asian dancing in 353 Gerlinger Annex on Friday, Oct. 4, 10:00–11:30 a.m.
- Move your body and make friends this term by registering for an intramural sports team through the Department of PE and Recreation.
- Learn a new skill at the drop-in self-defense and pepper spray class on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2:30–5:00 p.m. in 230 EMU. Get free pepper spray when you complete the training.
