Board Member Set to Complete Annual Swim for Special Olympics
| |
Special Olympics CT Board Member and Hotchkiss School Faculty Member Keith Moon will, for a second consecutive year, complete a two-mile, round-trip swim across Lake Wononscopomuc for the 27th Annual Hotchkiss School Swimathon to benefit Special Olympics on Saturday, September 11th. Lake Wononscopomuc, Connecticut's deepest lake, is located in the Lakeville section of Salisbury. Moon will be joined by 20 members of the Hotchkiss School community, including students and faculty. Ian Graham, a Hotchkiss School alumnus and parent of a Special Olympics athlete who participated in 2020 has committed to complete his swim for the event at a later date. Last year, as a result of the pandemic, the event transitioned from a day-long swimathon at the Hotchkiss School's pool with students completing laps to solo swims by Moon and Graham, keeping the spirit and momentum of the event sustained and strong! You can donate to support Moon and this year's Hotchkiss School Swimathon here.
