Support our Holiday Program

December 13-15, 2021
Every December we accept gifts of new clothing, toys and household goods for our Holiday Program. Many women who have suffered domestic abuse have no other resources for the holidays, so we count on you - our community - to help provide holiday gifts for our clients and their children.
Last year, several hundred individuals were helped by our Holiday Program!
With your generosity and support, we can make the holiday season brighter for those whose lives have been shattered by domestic violence.
How can I participate?

Thank you for joining us At the Table!

Our third annual At The Table Breakfast was nothing short of magic. A special thank you to our friends Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter (The War and Treaty), Tikeeta Wallace, and Senator Mia McLeod for sharing their stories and their talents – how grateful we are to call you Safe Harbor family.
It was a morning of bravery, solidarity, inspiration, and music. Our work in Upstate South Carolina certainly continues, but this event was a reminder that we are surrounded by a dedicated, passionate, caring community.
Together with our community, we raised $70,000 in support of critical services for victims of domestic violence and their children. To all of our fantastic speakers, event sponsors, attendees, Board of Directors, and staff… THANK YOU for joining us At the Table!
Check out our event photos. Thanks to Chelsey Ashford Photography for capturing the magic!

Celebrate Native Heritage

It's National Native American Heritage Month
This November, we want to celebrate the rich and diverse culture, traditions, and contributions of Native Americans.
While we celebrate, we also want to bring light to the many challenges that Native people face.
According to the United States Department of Justice...
  • Indigenous women in the US face murder rates that are more than 10 times the national average
  • Homicide is the third-highest cause of death of Indigenous girls 10-24 years old
  • Homicide is the fifth-highest cause of death of Indigenous women 25-34 years old

Volunteer Spotlight

Thank you, Betty!

Betty Goodwin organized a donation drive and put together beautiful care baskets for our clients!
Safe Harbor relies on the generosity of individuals like Betty, businesses, foundations, faith communities, civic, school, and social groups, and charity events to sustain and improve the services we provide to our Upstate community.
Community support through the donation of tangible goods is vital to our mission. Every donation makes a difference in the lives of the clients we serve.

Community Partner Highlight

The Hive Community Circle
The Hive Community Circle is a survivor-led, survivor-driven organization that provides unwavering support and compassion to the most impacted, yet most underserved survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and stalking in South Carolina. At The Hive, we believe in partnering with survivors to assist them in receiving the best care and support as they seek to accomplish healing and justice.
Safe Harbor is proud to be partnering with The Hive this month as they facilitate 'A Space to Heal' in the Upstate, and we are thankful for their leadership in offering peer-led support to survivors throughout South Carolina.
