Is your student looking for 2024-25 housing? If so, we encourage them to consider the following options & workshops:
The housing application for continuing undergraduate students opens on January 29 at 10:00am and closes on February 15. Visit the Campus Housing website for more information and to see a detailed timeline of the application and contracting process for UCSB-owned residence halls and undergraduate apartments.
Join us on February 13 at 6pm for the Housing 101 workshop! Come learn more about the UCSB housing process and community housing options for 2024-25. The workshop will be held via Zoom and is open to all. If you or your student are unable to attend we have a housing webinar available to view at your convenience.
University & Community Housing Services will host several Rental Fairs in the coming weeks. Students will have an opportunity to meet and greet with property providers and find out about renting in Isla Vista, Goleta, and Santa Barbara.

The Library has launched a free makerspace with grand opening workshops. From the art of the perfect hem to the creation of 3D-printed bots, UC Santa Barbara students, faculty and staff are welcome to learn and sharpen myriad creative skills at a newly minted on-campus makerspace. Check it out.

Resource of the Month: Associated Students Bike Shop
A resource to our campus since 1975, the Associated Students (A.S.) Bike Shop at UC Santa Barbara is a full-service bicycle repair shop and student-funded nonprofit organization powered by staff and student mechanics. The shop provides repairs, resources, and education to support and empower UCSB’s cycling community, including DIY offerings such as free compressed air, pump use, and chain lube during shop hours. The completely new, modern building is bright, and spacious, and has everything needed for students, staff, and members of the community to get their bikes tuned up and road-ready! See it for yourself.
