Villanova University and New Student Orientation will send Transfer 101 emails throughout the summer to keep you updated on important information and help prepare for your arrival. Click here to read past issues of Transfer 101.

For up-to-date information about Orientation, including schedules, severe weather locations, maps and more, we highly recommend using our free app! Once downloaded, you will have the details of Orientation right in the palm of your hand. Additionally, we encourage you to accept push notifications as this will create a pop-up alert on your phone if we need to make a last-minute change due to weather.

We're excited to get Transfer Student Orientation 2024 underway! As you make your final preparations for your arrival on campus, please be reminded of the following:

Move-In Day for Residential Students: Wednesday, Aug. 21

Residential students should report to the appropriate area during the timeframe chosen earlier this summer. Please reference the email you received from the Office for Residence Life on Monday, Aug. 19 for directions to your staging area or residence hall. The Residence Life staff members in that area will be able to check you in and give you your Wildcard.
Did you forget something? There's no need to leave campus! Stop by the University Shop's Pop-Up Tent on Sheehan Beach, between Sheehan Hall and Lancaster Avenue, for a selection of residence hall room essentials like bedding, shower and bath supplies, extension cords, storage bins and desk accessories.
Hungry? Stop by one of our dining halls for complimentary lunch! Check your Orientation App for locations and hours of operation.

Opening Day: Thursday, Aug. 22

Our Family Information Sessions will be held from 9:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at various locations around campus (check your Orientation App for times and locations). The Family Resource Fair will be held in the Finneran Pavilion from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Transfer students are invited to join us in the Curley Exchange in Bartley Hall for the Transfer Student Lunch from noon-12:45 p.m.
New Student Orientation officially begins with the University Welcome at 1 p.m. and continues with various activities and events throughout the day. Check your Orientation App for times and locations.
Following the Opening Mass and Family Picnic, families will depart campus and students will continue with Orientation activities for the remainder of the weekend.
