Surviving the Holidays
Are you the lone vegan or vegetarian at your family's holiday table? Stressing out over how to deal with another holiday dinner at a meal where everyone else is eating animals? Or maybe you're interested in experiencing your very first cruelty-free holiday.
Join Kelsey for a special holiday edition of Vegan Community Circle on Wednesday, December 6 where we'll have a spirited judgement-free discussion on how to  enjoy a compassionate holiday
You'll also learn tips on how to avoid a food fight at upcoming holiday gatherings. Location is the ARC office/Ethique Nouveau at 317 W 48th St. in Minneapolis from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Please bring a vegan snack to share if you are able, and come with questions or scenarios. RSVP on Vegan Meetup or Facebook.

Virtual Reality at Augsburg
We had a great day doing Virtual Reality outreach at Augsburg College this week. 52 people watched the 360° immersive videos about the lives of farmed animals and we gave away tons of information about why plant-based eating is good for the animals, your health, and the planet. Thanks to volunteers Larissa and Mike for doing a fantastic job of outreach!
ARC at the MN Science Teacher's Convention
Many of you may have seen the news stories about PETA's undercover investigation at Bio Corp in Alexandria. This company produces animal specimens that are preserved and shipped to classrooms around the country. Kudos to PETA for exposing the truth behind the biological specimen industry.
To promote humane sicence education here in Minnesota, ARC exhibited at the state Science Teachers Convention in early November at the St. Cloud Convention Center, where our Dissection Choice campaign provided literature and working models about alternatives to dissection to teachers from across the state (thanks to the American Anti-Vivisection Society's Animalearn program for loaning us their amazing frog model/dissection simulator). We also promoted our free humane education presentations for students and gave out samples of vegan Primal Strips and information about plant-based eating.
