Items can be dropped off at the Association office (in Malvern) Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm until November 15th or during the Annual Membership Meeting on October 6th; 11:30am-2pm at the Springfield Country Club.

NAR and PAR Actively Discussing Housing Supply and Affordability Issues with Federal, State Governments
Last Wednesday (September 21), the president of the National Association of REALTORS ® (NAR), raised the alarm about the nation's housing supply crisis. Leslie Rouda Smith told policymakers at a White House meeting that the U.S. is short 5.5 million homes to meet the needs of its population - and that's creating new affordability challenges for millions of Americans. "Housing supply is the number one issue for millions of consumers who are locked out of the market," Rouda Smith said following the meeting, which included other housing leaders who also stressed possible solutions to overcome the shortage. Also last week in Harrisburg, there was a special public hearing with the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Urban Affairs Committee. The meeting was for the Committee to gather information about the limited market for attainable and affordable housing. Information was presented by industry experts, including Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS ®' (PAR) legislative committee chair Will Clauss, which will be used to potentially craft legislative proposals to increase access and/or development of attainable, affordable and work force housing. FBI Special Agent Advises on Preventing Cybercrime in Real Estate
Business email compromise - or BEC - is the biggest cybercrime threat to the real estate industry, according to FBI Special Agent Patrick Armor, who spoke to REALTORS ® at PAR's Business Meetings in Harrisburg this week. Business email compromise and email account compromise resulted in more than $92 million in losses in Pennsylvania last year, according to the FBI's 2021 Internet Crime Complaint report.

Annually, Tri-County Suburban REALTORS® members are invoiced for their REALTOR® membership in early October. the 2023 membership dues notification email will be sent on October 3rd to all REALTOR® and Affiliate members with subsequent reminders also being sent via email. Primary REALTOR® members will once again have the opportunity to pay their dues on October 3rd in full or choose to pay via installments, all through My Portal on the website.
Information regarding the 2023 dues amount, payment options and respective deadlines are posted on this page and will also be included in the direct email notice received on October 3rd, the first day that 2023 dues can be paid. Housing Coalition Urges Reduction of FHA's Mortgage Insurance Premium
On September 14, NAR sent a coalition letter to the National Economic Council with the White House urging a reduction of the Federal Housing Administration's (FHA) annual mortgage insurance premium (MIP). As interest rates continue to rise and economic conditions worsen, it is critical for FHA to reduce the annual MIP so low- to moderate-income and first-time home buyers remain competitive in the housing market. NAR was joined in the letter by the Mortgage Bankers Association, the National Association of Homebuilders and the Manufactured Housing Institute.
