Big Sky Circuit Comes to Owatonna

We had amazing community support in hosting the Big Sky Circuit NCHA Days this past weekend. The events kicked off with a cutting horse demonstration & Meet and Greet Thursday night for Chamber Members and NCHA competitors. Chamber members had the opportunity to learn more about the cutting horse competitions and spend some time getting to know the competitors. Thanks to all of you who attended!

NCHA & its members also very generously helped raise $2650 to benefit Community Pathways, our local food shelf & clothesline. Our community is so grateful for this generous gift! (Check out some of the action)

New Holiday Gas Station Under Construction

The new Holiday Gas station is under construction on W. North Street and Hoffman Drive. The project includes:

-5200 sq ft convenience store

-One Bay automatic car wash

-8 pump islands with canopy cover over top

Construction is currently underway.

Downtown Thursday Boasts 20+ Vendors, 12 Food Options

Join us for Downtown Thursday Event on July 7^th from 5-8:30p around Central Park and N. Cedar. Thank you to Metronet for being a market sponsor for all three of our Downtown Thursday Events!

Enjoy over 20 market vendors, over a dozen different food choices and some excellent live music in beautiful Downtown Owatonna. The 200 and 300 blocks of Cedar Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic as well as the street around Central Park for people to fully enjoy the exciting atmosphere that Downtown Thursday brings. Owatonna Branding Initiative

One of the key initiatives of the Chamber Board and Owatonna Partners for Economic Development is to work with the community to unify the marketing message about Owatonna.

A steering committee has been working out the logistics of this effort. This week request for proposals have been sent to companies who have expertise in this type of brand/image work. More details will be shared as this process moves forward.

Shoe Sensation will be hosting a Job Fair for their newest Minnesota based store in Owatonna. The Job Fair will be held in the lower level at the Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday July 12^th from 9am to 6:30pm and on Wednesday July 13^th from 10am to 6:30pm. Headquartered in Jeffersonville, IN, Shoe Sensation operates over 125 stores nationally and 8 in Minnesota.
