UO EVENTS
  • Startup Week launches tomorrow, Nov. 8 with workshops, networking events, mentorship opportunities, and pitch competitions. This year's theme is ways to disrupt the food industry.
  • The Outdoor Program is leading a Headlamp Hike up Mt. Pisgah tomorrow, Nov. 8. $10; sign up and pay in the OP Office (EMU 008) or Rental Barn (18th and University).
  • The Student Sustainability Center is handing out free fruits and veggies at their weekly Produce Drop in the EMU Amphitheater Tuesday, Nov. 12, 3:00–5:00 p.m.
  • Movember is here, and the Duck Nest is helping get the conversation started with a Men's Health Discussion Panel Wednesday, Nov. 13, 5:00–7:00 p.m. 
  • More than 90 companies will be on campus for the Fall Career Fair on Thursday, Nov. 14 in the EMU Ballroom.
  • The Division of Global Engagement is hosting their annual Study Abroad Fair in the EMU Ballroom Tuesday, Nov. 19, 10:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
TALKS AND WORKSHOPS
  • Learn the ins and outs of grad school applications at an information session Monday, Nov. 11, 5:00–6:30 p.m. Free pizza provided; RSVP required.
  • Increase your pedal power with the Bike Program's Mounting Racks and Baskets workshop Monday, Nov. 11, 5:30–7:30 p.m. $5; no advanced sign up required.
  • "Rehearsals for Life" is giving students the opportunity to shape campus wellness efforts with a brainstorming session Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
NOTEWORTHY
  • Lights on UO! Oregon law requires use a front white light and rear red light or reflector when you bike at night. Be visible, bike smart, and invest in bike lights.
  • Your student representative on the Board of Trustees will have office hours in the ASUO EMU office on Monday, Nov. 11 10:00–11:30 a.m. 
  • Next week is Veterans Appreciation Week and the UO will host several events honoring those who have served and recognizing their hardships here at home.
  • Be sure to check your final exam schedule on your Duckweb under Student Class Schedule for the week of Dec. 9–13. 
  • Applications for the Holden Center's Lead for Change winter cohort are due December 14.
  • Financial Flight Plan has partnered with CashCourse to offer UO students access to a free online financial literacy library
