Hello 4-H Members, Volunteers & Families!
I hope the school year is off to a great start, and your family is settling into new routines. This is such an exciting time for 4-H members and families as youth look ahead to new opportunities, choose projects, set goals for the year, and reflect on everything they learned and accomplished last year.
We’re also excited to announce our Enrollment Drawing Winners! Everyone who enrolled by September 16 was entered for a chance to win some 4-H goodies.

Our office will contact the winners when prizes are ready to be picked up. Thank you to everyone who has already enrolled. We can’t wait to see what you accomplish this 4-H year!
Upcoming Educator Calendar Notices:
I will be out of the office October 12-15 and October 26-30 while attending two professional development conferences. During this time, I will remain available by email or work cell phone at 608-893-3183.

Join me, Jordan Blue, Chippewa County 4-H Positive Youth Development Educator, for an informal conversation focused on Connecting, Helping, Answering, Teaching, and Supporting our 4-H families.

Extension Chippewa County
Our volunteers are the foundation of the 4-H program. The impact our program has on young people is only possible because of caring adults who give their time, talents, and expertise. Jordan will be hosting three opportunities for volunteers to gather to complete the REQUIRED Volunteer Training. If you prefer to complete it online at your own pace, that is an option! This is designed for folks to gather, collaborate, share ideas, and learn more about volunteer pathways in Chippewa County!

Cloverbud Club Kick Off Meeting |

Join the Cloverbud Club, designed for youth in kindergarten through 2nd grade. Each month, members enjoy fun, hands-on activities built around a different theme while connecting with Cloverbuds from across the county.
Can you be in more than one club? Absolutely! Youth can participate in the Cloverbud Club in addition to their local community 4-H club.

Enjoy educational workshops, hands-on activities, Ag Olympics, showmanship, and breed show for all ages and experience levels. Bring your own cattle or participate with one provided.
Early entry fees: $10 per youth and $10 per head of cattle (available later this year; early entry closes October 7, 2026). Day-of registration: $15 per youth and $15 per head of cattle.

Important Dates:
November 1: Re-Enrollment Deadline for Members and Volunteers
April 1: New and Returning Member Enrollment & Dues Deadline (club dues may vary by club) AND Project selections due in 4-HOnline
New Member Expectations at NWSF (not Required if you do not plan to exhibit at NWSF)
To be eligible to represent 4-H at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair (NWSF) & in the Meat Animal Program (MAP)
Members must attend a minimum of four (4) club meetings during the program year. Clubs may set additional attendance expectations beyond this minimum.
If your family anticipates challenges meeting these expectations, please contact me to discuss possible accommodations or exemptions.

Volunteer Onboarding Process |
To become a certified Chippewa County 4-H volunteer, you must:
1. Complete the Volunteer Interest Form if you are a NEW Volunteer
2. Meet with Jordan to discuss your interests, skills, and volunteer opportunities (this can be done virtually, over phone or in person)! Returning volunteers are also welcome to schedule a meeting.
3. Complete volunteer enrollment through 4HOnline.
4. Complete the HireRight background screening process.
5. Complete all required volunteer trainings offered through 4HOnline or in-person sessions. (There will be three in person trainings offered, attend one that works best for your OR complete training online (see upcoming events above!)

Tri-County Performing Arts Coalition Interest Survey! |
The Chippewa, Dunn, and Eau Claire County Tri-County Performing Arts Coalition is gathering interest from youth and community members who would like to participate in future performing arts opportunities.
Students in grades 2-13 who enjoy theater, acting, stage production, or meeting new friends are encouraged to complete the survey. Community volunteers interested in supporting local performing arts programs are also welcome to participate.
Complete the survey by September 4 at 11:59 p.m.

- Returning members: Enroll by November 1
- New members: Welcome to join anytime through April 1 and remain eligible to exhibit and participate as a 4-H representative at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair.

State 4-H Dog Agility Show |

Overdale Canine Sports, Spring Valley, WI
This show includes competitions in agility for dogs and their people. The show is open to youth enrolled in the 4-H Dog Project. Participants must meet county requirements for participation. The first official Wisconsin 4-H agility show was held in 2008. Dogs of different levels of abilities and training welcome.
