February for us means it is the final stretch before our remaining spring semester classes. We are already planning new and exciting things for the community to get involved with as we move later into 2023 - so stay tuned. Our summer schedule will be in your inbox next month (yes, crazy...we know). Another note about our spring classes: if you or your staff cannot make the scheduled times, we are happy to work and find a way to provide your team professional development opportunities.

Our Nonprofit Leadership Boot Camp focuses on developing the leadership potential and capacity of emerging leaders. You and the facilitator clarify the role of leadership and develop strategies to advance your individual leadership aspirations that lead to mastering frameworks that support success in your nonprofit.

News @ MC: Rolling Raptor EduKitchen Opens For Business |
The Rolling Raptor EduKitchen, a 26-foot-long mobile food lab, arrived at the College in October. Equipped with the most cutting-edge culinary equipment and technology, it serves as a hands-on business lab for students within the hospitality management program. Students develop a food truck business/concept, fabricate, test out and develop menu items and costs, and operate the business at events with real clients (e.g., golf courses, breweries, City of Rockville events). Afterward, they evaluate the success of their concepts based on customer feedback and financial gains or losses.

Effective fundraising requires strategic planning and buy-in from staff and volunteers. This course will provide the basics of best practices in nonprofit fundraising and development, and will cover areas such as major donor development, solicitation techniques, donor database management, event planning, seeking corporate support and grants, and much more.
