Celebrate Our 75 Years Of Care With Us

Share Your Stories And Memories With Us

You're Invited: Anthony Urgent Care
Ribbon Cutting Scheduled For June 27th!

The Memorial leadership team is very pleased to extend you an invitation to a ribbon cutting ceremony for our new urgent care in Anthony, planned for 10 a.m. on Friday, June 27. Planned in conjunction with the City of Anthony, the celebration will include food, speeches from dignitaries and opportunities to tour the newly constructed space.
The 3,300-square-foot clinic is a cornerstone of the visionary City of Anthony project to revitalize the former Dos Lagos Golf Course into a vibrant health and wellness multi-generational community center.
It is our firm belief that residents of Anthony and its surrounding southern Doña Ana County communities should not have to leave their own state to receive quality and timely care. The vision that this group behind the development project has collaboratively crafted will result in improved health and prosperity for Southern New Mexico for years to come.
State funding for the Dos Lagos project was largely secured through the leadership, guidance and hard work of State Rep. Doreen Gallegos, who continues to represent this region with the best interest of its citizens at heart.

We hope to see you there to celebrate this momentous occasion! No RSVP is required.

Welcoming Our New COO, Adrian Larson

We are very pleased to welcome Adrian F. Larson, MBA, FACHE, as our hospital’s Chief Operating Officer. Adrian joined the Memorial executive leadership team in May and has already made a tremendous impact on our operations.

With over a decade of experience in senior leadership roles across both for-profit and non-profit healthcare systems, Adrian has established a strong reputation for driving operational excellence and fostering organizational growth. At MMC, Larson is responsible for leading projects and developing service lines, among other duties.

“I am thrilled to return to Las Cruces and look forward to being part of the Executive Leadership Team here at MMC as we serve patients across Southern New Mexico,” Larson said. “This team has the heart, the talent and the commitment to continue delivering excellent care and services to our community — and I’m truly honored to be a part of it.”
Larson joined Memorial from UNM Hospital Sandoval Campus in Rio Rancho, where he served as COO since June 2023. Prior to that, he held the position of CEO at STAT Specialty Hospital in Del Rio and Eagle Pass, TX for two years. Larson is very familiar with Las Cruces and our community, as he served as COO at MountainView Regional Medical Center from October 2017 to April 2021.
Larson holds an MBA from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Fluent in Spanish, he is actively involved in various community organizations and chambers of commerce.
Please join us in welcoming Adrian to Memorial and welcoming him back to Las Cruces!

Nurse Residency Program Earns Prestigious Reaccreditation

It’s time to celebrate! We are thrilled to announce that our LaunchPoint Nurse Residency Program has earned prestigious reaccreditation through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Practice Transition Accreditation Program (PTAP).

This recognition reflects our team’s commitment to excellence in nursing education, mentorship and patient-centered care. PTAP accreditation is considered the gold standard for transition-to-practice programs.

First earning program accreditation in April 2021, MMC remains the only facility with a PTAP-accredited nurse residency program in Southern New Mexico and the greater Borderland. MMC is also one of only 297 programs across the globe with this accreditation.

By achieving PTAP reaccreditation, we underscore our commitment to supporting the next generation of nurses and ensuring they are well-prepared to deliver exceptional patient care for our community. Tremendous credit goes to our nurse educators, nursing leaders and program preceptors for achieving this distinction.
In the last three years, more than 50 nurse residents at MMC have transitioned from nursing school to being independent at the bedside in units including the ICU, Emergency Department, Telemetry, Medical-Surgical, Observation Unit, and Orthopedics and Oncology.
