We hope you are looking forward to your New Student Conference (NSC)! As you prepare, please note that there are a few items to take care of before you arrive for your NSC. Part One of Online Orientation and selecting Breakout Sessions are two important pieces of the NSC experience.
Online Orientation:
The mandatory Online Orientation is now available and Part One must be completed at least three business days before your NSC to ensure your Online Orientation hold (hold code AO) is cleared for course registration. You will receive another email when Part Two becomes available in early August.
Part One should take about an hour to complete. We recommend starting two weeks before your NSC as you'll have items to complete as you progress.
To log in, click the link above and select the STUDENT LOGIN option. You will then be prompted to enter your NetID and password.
Breakout Session Selection:
Breakout Session Selection is now available! Following lunch on Day 1 of your NSC, you'll have the opportunity to attend our Resource Tables and two Breakout Sessions of your choosing.
The sign up link can be found in your Checklist Items in the Applicant Information System (AIS) Portal at applicant.tamu.edu. You will need to complete your session selection no later than 11:59 p.m. two business days before Day 1 of the NSC in order to produce your customized schedule.
Capacities are limited for each session, therefore your options will be based on availability. Brief descriptions of each session are located on the sign up page or at newaggie.tamu.edu/nscbreakout. Family members and guests will attend the same breakout sessions that you select.
Details for the second day of your conference vary by academic units. You will automatically be placed in the appropriate meetings throughout Day 2 based on your major. You do not need to preselect any programs for Day 2.
Your confirmed schedule for Day 1 presentations, based on the selections you have chosen, will be available on the back of your NSC name tag given to you at check-in on Day 1.
