Dr. Richard Payne Collection
In 2021, the History of Medicine Collections received the papers of Dr. Richard Payne. Dr. Payne (1951-2019) was a physician and researcher known for his work in pain management, palliative care, bioethics, neuro-oncology, medicine and spirituality, and end-of-life issues for African-Americans. The collection consists of his professional materials, writings and presentations, academic materials, and more. His collection is now processed and open and available for research.
