"The day was fantastic! We have toured many universities. I have to say A-State's presentation of school spirit is by far the best we have seen.”

“The best part was the welcome.  It made me feel like I was at home.”
– Future Red Wolf

Dear A-State Family:

I just wanted to drop a quick note to say "thank you" to everyone who helped make Pack Preview the biggest and most successful recruiting event that we have ever had on our campus for high school juniors. So many members of our faculty, staff, student body, and community came together to help potential future Red Wolves decide where they will attend college starting in fall 2019. Everything went according to plan, the weather was incredible, and there was such a positive vibe all over campus. That "vibe" started and ended with you, and I am so grateful for your efforts.

Here is a video that our Digital Creative team put together to capture some of Saturday's excitement. A screenshot of the PackPreview video.

Recruiting students to our campus is everyone's responsibility. I spoke to hundreds of our guests and their parents Saturday afternoon, and their comments told me very clearly that our campus "gets" that. They felt welcomed, comfortable, informed, and appreciated. Every single one of them told me that their experience was positive, and that Pack Preview Day had a significant effect on their college decision. They all have choices on where they will attend college - I am convinced that we did everything that we could to make the decision to come to Jonesboro easier for many of them.

To The Naked Guys who braved the chilly start to welcome our guests as they arrived on campus . . .

To the Sound of the Natural State and the spirit teams (including Howl and Scarlet) who provided some insight into our school spirit and traditions . . .

To the countless faculty and staff members who worked a table in the (very crowded) Red Wolf Center and led information sessions . . .

To the student groups (including the Quidditch Team) that gave a glimpse of what life is like outside of the classroom . . .

To the residence life and recruiting teams that led tours around campus . . .

To the "Ask Me" team members who made sure that no one got lost . . .

To our food services team that made sure lunch was memorable . . .

And to everyone else who made Pack Preview happen . . .

THANK YOU!

Thank you for sacrificing a Saturday to help shape the future of Arkansas State University. Your efforts did not go unnoticed by me or, much more importantly, by our guests.

Special thanks to Teresa Dunton and Polly Marshall from our recruiting team. Their advance planning made the day go off (mostly) without a hitch!

Have a great week, my friends. I am so honored to serve alongside you as we continue moving forward.

Best,

Kelly

"Everyone was so welcoming, the faculty, instructors, the students, everyone. The class was so informative as was [our tour guide]. He had an abundance of information to share on the choices all 3 girls in our group had chosen. Thank you so much for the opportunity to see what all ASU has to offer and make it a little easier for parents to let go of our children as they enter the next phase of their lives. Thank you."
– Parent

"The academic sessions with professors in the classrooms were something we hadn't seen before. It was just one more thing that sets your school apart from others! You all did a fantastic job with the entire day! I can't think of one way (other than parking) you can improve on for preview day."
– Parent

"We really enjoyed our day at A-State! My daughter learned so much about your nursing department and she can’t wait to become a Red Wolf!!! Thank you for having the preview day!"

P.P.S. – WOLVES UP to you all, Kelly
