Fulbright UK Summer Institutes
Congrats to 3 LMU Lions who have been shortlisted for the Fulbright UKSI! These 3-4 week programmes for US freshmen & sophomores, allow participants to explore the culture, heritage & history of the UK while experiencing higher education at a UK university.

Peace Corps Info Session

Wednesday, March 21 at 12 p.m. in University Hall 1775
The Peace Corps is a postgraduate service opportunity for motivated changemakers to immerse themselves in a community abroad, working side by side with local leaders to tackle the most pressing challenges of our generation. 

Led by Natalie Smerkanich, Regional Peace Corps Recruiter, LMU undergraduate and graduate students are invited to attend an informational session to learn more. The session will familiarize you with the program, application process, and best practices for constructing a competitive application. Register here to attend

Researching Postgraduate Programs Abroad

Friday, March 23 at 12 p.m. in University Hall 1775
Learn tips and strategies for researching, selecting, and applying to graduate programs* abroad, especially in the UK and Ireland. Highly recommended for students interested in the Fulbright Study, Gates Cambridge, Marshall, Mitchell, and Rhodes Scholarships. Register here to attend.

All or Multiple Disciplines 
Marines' Memorial Association Scholarships- Deadline: April 20. The Marines' Memorial Association awards scholarships to U.S. Military Veterans of all branches.

School of Education
STEM Teacher Scholarships- Deadline: April 13. The AFCEA Educational Foundation is offering scholarships to students actively pursuing an undergraduate degree, graduate degree or credential/licensure for the purpose of teaching STEM  subjects at a U.S. middle or secondary school.

School of Film & Television
The Charles & Lucille King Family Foundation- Deadline: April 15. The Charles & Lucille King Family Foundation undergraduate scholarships of up to $3,500 per academic year are awarded to juniors and seniors majoring in television and film at accredited 4-year, degree-granting U.S. colleges and universities.

Frank R. Seaver College of Science & Engineering
ASCO Engineering College Scholarships- Deadline: April 10. The ASCO scholarship is merit-based and will be awarded on the candidate’s potential for leadership and for making a significant contribution to the engineering, instrumentation, systems, and automation professions, particularly as they relate to the application of fluid control and fluid power technologies. Scholarship recipients may be eligible for an internship. The award will consist of two, $5,000 scholarships to U.S. engineering students who are pursuing careers in industrial automation-related disciplines. Additionally, $1,000 grants will be made to the engineering departments of the colleges in which the winners are enrolled. Applicants must have completed their sophomore year in a bachelor’s degree program or enrolled in a graduate program, at the time of application and must be a U.S. citizen or legal U.S. resident.

Open Space Institute’s Conservation Diversity Fellowship- Deadline: April 16. The Fellowship offers college graduates a one-year, paid position (competitive starting salary with a comprehensive benefits package)  in New York City offering candidates the chance to work with colleagues and leaders at the Open Space Institute to accomplish meaningful conservation goals. Open to individuals with an interest in pursuing a career in a conservation and/or non-profit related field.

Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) Information Session 

March 20 from 6 pm.-7:30 p.m. in Von Der Ahe 190
Each year, CGI U hosts an event where students, university representatives, topic experts, and celebrities come together to discuss and develop innovative solutions to pressing global challenges. CGI U brings together more than 1,000 students to make a difference in CGI U's five focus areas: Education, Environment and Climate Change, Peace and Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation, and Public Health.
