School of Architecture poised for global leadership through historic $150M investment

Notre Dame alumnus Matthew Walsh and his wife, Joyce, have made a $150 million gift to the School of Architecture. In recognition of this landmark gift, the school will be renamed the Matthew and Joyce Walsh School of Architecture at Notre Dame.

“Notre Dame strives always to be that great force for good Father Sorin envisioned at the University’s founding, and thanks to this remarkable gift, the School of Architecture—both through the leaders it prepares and the research it undertakes—will transform the field of architectural education.”—President Rev. The University Academic Advising Initiative receives Presidential Team Irish Award

Members of the University Academic Advising Initiative Team, comprising more than 90 faculty and staff from 13 units, joined forces to update the long-standing model to enhance support for students and their advisers, from day one to graduation.

Alumni Association and YoungND honor 2025 Domer Dozen
