The annual Option Transfer Period for Graduate Student Employees ends on December 31, 2024. During this time employees can:
  • Change from Family to Individual coverage while dependents are still eligible.
  • Change from Individual to Family coverage (late enrollment provisions will apply).
  • Newly enrolling in the SEHP plan (late enrollment provisions will apply).
  • Voluntary cancellation of coverage while you are still eligible for coverage.
  • Change your PTCP election from pre-tax to after-tax or after-tax to pre-tax.

To make a change, you must complete form PS404G and return along with any required proof documents to the Benefits Unit, Administration Building, Room 390; faxing to 632-1350; or emailing HRS_Benefits@stonybrook.edu.
If you do not wish to make any changes to your health insurance plan, your benefit election will remain the same in 2025.
