What is a personal piece of advice (business advice/saying/quote) that you lean on and could pass on to others?
"It is quality rather than quantity that matters." I believe in building a business with intention—focusing on consistency, strong relationships, and long-term sustainability rather than chasing quick wins. This mindset has helped me grow my CPA firm steadily over the past six years while maintaining high-quality service for my clients.
Best business book you’ve ever read?
One book that really resonated with me is Profit First by Mike Michalowicz. It shifts the traditional accounting mindset and helps business owners prioritize profitability from day one. It’s a must-read for anyone struggling to manage cash flow effectively. Usually frowned upon by your average CPA due to the managerial aspects of multiple bank accounts, there are still some excellent business basics every business owner should have in their arsenal.
One misstep you took in your business that you could caution others about?
In the early years, I took on too much myself instead of delegating sooner. I thought I needed to handle everything personally to ensure quality, but in reality, I was holding the business back. Once I trusted my team and empowered them to take ownership of their roles, everything became more efficient—and I could focus on strategic growth.
How do you de-stress after a particularly hard day?
Spending time outdoors is my go-to way to recharge. Whether it’s a walk, time at Center Hill Lake, or hitting the gym, stepping away from work helps me reset and come back with fresh energy.
What’s something about you that would surprise everyone reading this?
I have over 50 varieties of houseplants between my office and home

What part of EO are you most looking forward to this year?
I'm excited to connect with like-minded entrepreneurs and learn from their experiences. The chance to collaborate, gain fresh perspectives, and continue growing as a leader is what makes EO such a valuable community.
Any exciting plans for 2025?
2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year! I have plans to refine internal processes, explore new ways to provide value to clients, and continue fostering a great workplace for my team. On a personal note, I also hope to take some time to travel and recharge.
