Radiology will be upgrading the current fixed 1.5T MRI scanner at the main hospital to improve reliability and image quality. The upgrade begins July 8 and is anticipated to take approximately eight weeks with completion planned for August 30.
MRI services at the hospital will be limited to one fixed 3T MRI scanner during the upgrade. Patients who are candidates and do not require sedation or anesthesia will be scheduled on the 1.5T mobile MRI units at Oyster Point and Concert Drive. We ask for your patience and support as we prioritize scheduling patients for the 3T based on clinical need.
