Docmann Trail UpdateAt the Feb. 20 Master Association Board meeting, the Board approved a motion to enter into a Docmann Trail construction contract with Singletrack Trails with a 60-day revocable clause in the contract. Some background about Docmann:
- The Docmann Trail alignment was approved at the Oct. 10, 2017 Board meeting, and funding was approved at the Dec. 12, 2017 Board meeting.
- The Master Association filed a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Permit Application for Eagle Take (Incidental Take) for the trail and is awaiting approval on the permit. An Incidental Take Permit provides an opportunity for the Fish and Wildlife Service to require the permit holder to implement conservation measures that reduce incidental take and benefits eagles. If the permit holder follows these prescribed conservation measures and a take still occurs as a result of the permitted activity, then the permit holder will not be in violation of the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act.
- An application for a Natural Surface Trails permit will also be filed with Jefferson County prior to construction, which is anticipated to begin in August pending permit approvals.

Don't Forget to Vote in Master Association Board Election: Deadline is March 6 at 5 p.m.
The Ken-Caryl Ranch Master Association Board election will end Tuesday, March 6 at 5 p.m. If you have not received your voting instructions either by email or postcard, please email victoriad@kcranch.org. One vote per household. The election is online, but paper ballots are available at the Ranch House for those residents who do not wish to vote online. You will need a photo ID to vote with a paper ballot.

Call for Candidates for Metro District Board ElectionThe Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District will hold its regular biennial Board of Directors election on Tuesday, May 8. Two Board positions currently held by Robert Generoli and David Banning will be up for election.
