Williams Named W. T. Grant Scholar

The William T. Grant Foundation has named Deadric Williams, an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, one of five members of its newest class of William T. Grant Scholars.

Havens Awarded Grant for Digital Humanities

Hilary Havens, associate professor of English, received a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) for The Maria Edgeworth Letters Project.

Hawkes Receives SHARP Development Grant

DeLisa D. Hawkes, assistant professor of Africana studies, received a research development grant for her first book project on literary works from the New Negro Renaissance of the 1920s to 1930s.

Seddighi Named a 2022 Key into Public Service Scholar

Diba Seddighi, a College Scholar, is one of 20 students selected as a Key into Public Service Scholar by The Phi Beta Kappa Society, the nation’s most prestigious academic honor society.

Students Awarded NSF Graduate Research Fellowships

Three College of Arts and Sciences students have been selected to be a part of the 2022 National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program.
