MVS Renovations Expand Student Space
 
Renovations for the Jeffrey Wright Military and Veteran Services (MVS) space, will allow for more offices for staff while opening up 220 additional square feet for students. It’s expected to open in October.

  • Alyson Covington, interim associate director of nursing, has been reappointed to serve on the Test Development Team for the National Association of Healthcare Quality (NAHQ.) NAHQ oversees the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) program, the only accredited certification in healthcare quality. Alyson also serves as Campus Health’s safety, health quality and accreditation coordinator.
  • Get to know Brian Mathis, DASA’s associate director of student leadership and engagement.
  • The Gregg Museum of Art & Design is hosting an Artist Talk with photographer and visual artist Susan Harbage Page on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 6 p.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 22 is the last day to save up to 25% off by purchasing a Create Your Own Series package from NC State LIVE.
  • University Theatre’s QuickSCRIPTS is back on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. It’s a fun night of four 10-minute plays, written, cast and produced in 72 hours. Writers are given a prompt and have 24 hours to create a script. Directors have 24 hours to read and cast the show. Actors have 24 hours to rehearse before the audience arrives. Stripped of costumes and scenery, these plays offer audiences and participants a glimpse into the process of making theatre.
  • The Office of Undergraduate Research is holding a Sidewalk Symposium in front of D.H. Hill Library (Hillsborough side) on Tuesday, Sept. 26 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • University Transportation has provided information about several road closures near NC State for the week of Sept. 18-23.
  • Reminder: September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month at NC State, and Prevention Services has several resources and events available.
