Dear Faculty, Administrators and Staff,
For the second year, Seton Hall University, in partnership with the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE), is excited to offer our faculty a professional development opportunity as part of our commitment to instructional excellence and student success. The Center for Faculty Development, with the support of the Office of the Provost and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, offers this program in response to faculty interest in inclusive teaching practices and faculty concerns about student stress and disengagement.
Up to 33 Seton Hall faculty members will have the opportunity to participate in ACUE’s comprehensive course on Effective Teaching Practices (ETP) in AY 2023-24. This 25-week course prepares faculty in evidence-based teaching practices proven through independently validated research to improve student achievement and close equity gaps. Using a cohort model, this asynchronous course will be delivered fully online and facilitated by a Seton Hall faculty member.
