We are saddened to announce the passing of Jeff Dean
at age 64 after a lengthy illness. Jeff was a member of the FPCM team in Planning, Development & Construction (PDC) for nearly two decades until his departure in 2020.
His wife Polly described him as "a loving spouse" who "spoke fondly of the relationships built within the workplace.
"We are deeply grateful for the support and camaraderie Jeff experienced during his time at The George Washington University," she added. "He considered all of you his extended work family."
His former colleague, Adam Aaronson, remembered Jeff as a great coworker and a highly productive addition to the construction management side of the house.
"I was very saddened to hear about the unfortunate passing of Jeff Dean," Adam wrote. "He was an amazing teammate, who brought a wealth of knowledge of construction to GW. Jeff made his mark on a number of projects around the University including Thurston Hall, District House, Law Learning Center, and so many others. He is one of a kind and he will be missed!"
DSF's extends our condolences to Polly and the Dean family.
