Research Conference/Workshop Seed Grant Program Spring 2026 |
Invitation to Serve as a Grant Evaluator – NYS Community Grants Reinvestment Fund | Spring 2026 OR&I (formerly OVPR) Seed Grant Program |
The seed grant program aims to give Stony Brook University faculty a competitive edge in securing external research funds by supporting and fostering innovative scientific and scholarly activities that will lead to the development of proposals with a greater likelihood of success. This cycle of the OR&I Seed Grant Program includes three priority areas: (1) Early Career, (2) Pivoting Research, and (3) Center-Scale Proposals. The OR&I Seed Grant Program is also open to all eligible applicants, and their research focuses within and beyond these three priority areas.
Deadline: Full proposals due May 14, 2026 via the InfoReady OR&I Seed Grant Program Application Portal.

SUNY Startup Summer School (S4)
|
Now in its seventh year, SUNY Startup Summer School (S4) is a ten-week virtual training program that provides students, faculty, and staff with the knowledge and networks that will enable them to commercialize breakthrough technology.
Description: S4 is a one-stop destination for instructional webinars led by renowned speakers, accelerated Innovation Corps entrepreneurial training by experienced coaches, and proposal development support from experts who specialize in working with researchers and startups. All SUNY students, faculty, staff, startup leaders, and community members with entrepreneurial ambition are encouraged to enroll. S4 runs from late May through end of July and there is no cost to participate.
Deadline: Applications are being accepted now through May 22, 2026.
