Dear Friend of the Passionists,
When I was younger, I remember my mother’s saying, “The older I get, the faster the years go by.” She was so right! Every year seems to go by more quickly than the previous one, and 2015 is no different.
As we mark the traditional end of summer on Labor Day, the very next day, September 8, we celebrate the beginning of a beautiful life – Mary, the Mother of us all. We Passionists will say a special Mass on the 8th to honor the Birth of Mary, and to remember you, our benefactor and partner in ministry.
Over the summer we sent you our new package of all occasion cards. Included with the cards was an invitation to send us your intentions to be remembered during this special Mass. This wonderful feast marks the seasonal start of our journey toward receiving the Lord and inspires us to embrace those powerful words that Mary spoke, “I am a servant of the Lord.” Let us take this time to pray for each other, and let us work together to bring the saving message of God’s love to those we love.
