With over 40 countries and international festivals under their belt, they performed at the world’s biggest festivals and venues. WAM Theatre presents the first reading of the latest version of Far, Far Better Things by playwright Geetha Reddy. Inspired by Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities, this play tells the tale of two women separated by class, race, and the unspoken rules of modern womanhood. The women struggle to balance their responsibilities to their children, to themselves, and to each other. The reading will happen at The Foundry in West Stockbridge. More info

Berkshire United Way will hold its 100th anniversary celebration at The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield. During the celebration, Berkshire United Way will present the Daniel C. Dillon Helping Hands, Caring Heart Award to Mary Wheat, an active volunteer and guiding light with the South Community Food Pantry for 20+ years. She also was a founder and longtime chair of the Thanksgiving Angels meal program. The event features guest speaker Dr. Frances Jones-Sneed. More info

Nestwatch Training

NestWatch is a nationwide nest monitoring program led by Cornell’s Lab of Ornithology and supported by community members like yourself. Participating is fun, and anyone can do it! This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful research and get an intimate window into Tree Swallow and Eastern Bluebird nesting. This BNRC nestwatch training will be Hollow Fields.  More info

Giuseppina Forte, professor of architecture and environmental studies at Williams College, discusses her book project, The Self-Built City: Material Politics and Ecologies of Difference in São Paulo. It chronicles the forces shaping urban ecologies and how colonial structures solidify sites of difference. The talk is part of the programming for the Clark's Paper Cities exhibition. More info

Screening of Freud's

A fundraiser screening of Freud’s Last Session is planned for next Thurday. The movie is based on Mark St. Germain’s play, which Barrington Stage premiered in 2009. This collaborative event between the Triplex Cinema and Great Barrington Public Theater (GBPT) includes a talkback with St. Germain and GBPT Artistic Director Jim Frangione, as well as food, wine, and desserts!
