Meet the Geotech, Inc. Team:
| Owner Steven S. Brosemer, PS 0752 |
Steven is a Past President (1988 and 1989) and past Member of the Board of Directors of the Kansas Society of Land Surveyors (KSLS). Steve has been surveying in the area since 1979 and is a regular Presenter at KSLS sponsored Continuing Education Seminars, including the Regionally acclaimed Salina Seminar Series.
In June of 2008, Governor Sebelius appointed Mr. Brosemer to the Kansas State Board of Technical Professions for a four year term as Land Surveyor member and was re-appointed in 2012 and again in 2014 by Governor Brownback. Steve has served at all levels of leadership at the Board and is currently Chair of the Minimum Standards for Boundary Surveys Subcommittee. He remains a member of the Board of Technical Professions until July of 2018.
Steve proudly serves the community in several capacities, including Past Chair of the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce (2012), United Way Volunteer, President of the Emporia Enterprises Board of Directors (Industrial Development), and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Lyon County Historical Society. As you can see, Steve enjoys portraying an 1850s gentleman surveyor ready for life on the prairie!

Highly proficient in cadd and Carlson, he is the principal drafter of our complex drawings.
Aaron serves his community and profession as a Township Treasurer where he lives and is currently an elected Director of the Kansas Society of Land Surveyors (KSLS). He is a graduate of the 22nd Class of Leadership Emporia. Aaron can be contacted at email@example.com.
| Beth Higgins |

Beth is just as comfortable driving an ATV out in the Flint Hills looking for cornerstones as she is in the office helping our clients with their surveying needs. Beth's expertise in so many areas is why she is usually our clients' first contact. Beth can manage and make your project with Geotech go smoothly and efficiently.
She is also a graduate of the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class and enjoys following her grandchildren's school activities. Feel free to contact her either by phone at (620) 342-7491 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.

ACA Launches “TV Ransom” To Highlight Broadcasters’ Abusive Behavior With Retransmission Consent Resulting In Consumer Harm
Timed with the 25th Anniversary of the 1992 Cable act that allowed local TV stations to start charging cable companies for their signal, The American Cable Association recently launched a national campaign to set the record straight regarding Broadcasters; for out-of-control retransmission consent fees and TV station blackouts. These fees and blackouts blindside consumers with the needless loss of their favorite news, weather reports, and national sporting and entertainment events.
This campaign shows the rising costs of your TV bill are lining the pockets of the broadcasters themselves. Each month, a significant portion of your local TV bill is passed on to Network and Broadcast station owners (Networks or Programmers). Each TV provider (i.e. ValuNet Fiber) is charged a fee per channel, per month, per customer, for the right to provide that station or Network to its customers. When contracts come to an end, we try to negotiate new agreements but sometimes, a Programmer will demand a significant increase in it's Network fees.
If we do not stand strong against these increases, your bill just keeps going up. Due to the practice of our program providers (CBS, NBC, ESPN, FOX, DISNEY, and others), we have been forced to implement annual price increases and raise our rates for TV programming in the past and are concerned that there seems to be no end to program providers raising their rates at every opportunity. Our only response is to either drop the channel from our lineup or pay the higher rate.
We at ValuNet Fiber feel we must keep you informed on this subject as much as possible. If you have questions or wish to learn more about which Programmers are increasing fees, please go to http://www.americancable.org/ or feel free to contact us at any time.
