Our Shared Vision for an Age-Positive Oregon
|
At the Ageless Awards, we came together to shape a shared vision for an Age-Positive Oregon—and this graphic captures what emerged. It reflects what it takes to build a state where aging is valued, contributions are recognized, and every generation belongs. Real change happens through collaboration.
Let’s keep the momentum going by challenging stereotypes to create a future where age is a force for connection, purpose, and possibility. Click the image above to view it in full size.

| AllCare Health Funds AGE+ Project in Talent
|
AGE+ has been awarded a $30,000 community grant from AllCare Health to support shared spaces in our affordable housing development for older adults in Talent. These gathering places will be furnished and equipped to foster engagement and connection, promote well-being, and create a strong sense of belonging while also supporting activities and providing access to technology. The grant will help ensure these spaces are welcoming and inclusive for residents.
With strong support from the City of Talent and a commitment to age-friendly development, this funding marks an essential step toward building a more equitable Oregon.

Grant Boosts Digital Literacy Work in Rural Oregon
|
AGE+ has received a grant from the Roundhouse Foundation to expand our digital literacy program, which helps older adults in rural communities build digital skills, stay safe online, and stay connected. In partnership with the State Library of Oregon and local leaders in Baker City, Stanfield, and Talent, the program also reinforces libraries and senior centers as trusted learning hubs.
With this new funding, the program will continue through 2025, offering classes, one-on-one and small-group support, and locally led efforts to strengthen telehealth readiness and meet evolving digital needs. This support strengthens our work, and we're proud to keep it growing.

Madras Celebrates its First Anniversary
|
We celebrated one amazing year of community at our affordable housing development in Madras. From shared meals to front porch chats, this place has become so much more than housing—it’s home. Here’s to the people who make it special and the memories still to come!
|
Another exciting chapter is unfolding in Talent, where modular homes have been placed for our second affordable housing development in the city, just a mile from our first. This new site offers 26 fully accessible units and will be ready to welcome residents later this year.

AGE+ Shares Our Housing Journey Through a Short Film
|
In communities hit hardest by loss and housing instability, AGE+ is helping something powerful take root. We set out to capture the spirit and resilience behind these homes with the short film Breaking Ground: An AGE+ Story.
What unfolded on camera was an authentic and powerful story, one written in the experiences of older adults rebuilding their lives with stability, independence, and a renewed sense of community.
Our short film offers a glimpse into how AGE+ is addressing Oregon’s housing crisis through modular design, local partnerships, and a deep commitment to inclusive, community-driven solutions. In rural communities across the state, we’re demonstrating what’s possible when housing prioritizes people.
Special thanks to Gal Pal Productions for their incredible storytelling.

You Can Be a Change Agent
|
Ageism is a widespread but often overlooked bias that limits potential. Older adults offer experience and opportunity—yet outdated perceptions continue to influence policies, workplaces, and programs. The Leadership Exchange on Ageism (LEA) equips leaders to challenge these biases and build stronger, more inclusive organizations and communities.
Join a dynamic peer-learning experience to explore the harms of ageism, rethink assumptions, and drive change. The next cohort begins on July 17. Click below for details on sessions and cost. Don’t miss this chance to be part of the movement. Scholarships available.

| AGE+ & NW Natural Partnership
|
AGE+ has been invited to join NW Natural’s Community and Equity Advisory Group, a collaborative effort with community-based organizations to elevate underrepresented voices in utility planning. AGE+ is proud to amplify the voices of older adults by providing feedback and guidance in creating energy policies that better meet the needs of all generations across Oregon and Washington.
