| Two offerings starting Sunday |
Our final Adult Formation classes of the season will be held on May 3, 10, and 17, with two engaging options to choose from.
In The Book of Jonah in Art and Tradition, Fr. Josh and Rob Alley will guide participants through the rich and varied ways this familiar biblical story has been interpreted and expressed – exploring its historical context, artistic and literary representations, and why Jonah and the great fish became one of the earliest symbols in Christian tradition.
Additionally, join Fr. Ed for Indigenous People and the Church. Sponsored by the Justice Ministry and Creation Care Ministry focused on the topic of Indigenous peoples, we’ll explore our country’s and our denomination’s history and politics regarding Indigenous peoples, reflect on Indigenous spiritualities, and listen to the real-life stories of some Indigenous people in our own community. Tim Jones preaches Trinity Sunday |
Mark your calendars for May 31 as we celebrate Trinity Sunday with a special guest preacher, Tim Jones. Tim is the author of "Fully Beloved: Meeting God in Our Heartaches and Our Hopes", a spiritually rich exploration of one of life’s deepest questions: Am I loved? In Fully Beloved, Tim invites readers into a deeper understanding of God’s love – one that brings healing, strengthens our relationships, and renews our sense of purpose. Following the service, Tim will be available to sign books, and copies will be available for purchase.

Saturday, May 9 at 9:00 a.m. |
The next opportunity to volunteer at The Branch is Saturday, May 9. Come help sort, stock, pack food boxes and distribute them to families in The Branch of Nashville's food distribution center. This is a great opportunity to work alongside members of the Antioch community, and for those who know a little Spanish or Arabic. Ability to lift boxes and walk throughout the shift is helpful. This opportunity is great for parents and children ages 10 and up. Click here to sign up.

The application period for nominees to become the Twelfth Bishop of the Diocese of Tennessee has now closed. The Bishop Search Committee is currently reviewing applications and scheduling interviews, proceeding on the timeline established when this process began in the summer of 2025. We are grateful to all members of the diocese who submitted nominations or shared the profile with potential candidates, and we welcome everyone who has applied into this season of discernment. Looking ahead, the Standing Committee will announce the slate of nominees in late June or early July, followed by a two-week petition period. Nominee Forums with the bishop candidates will be held August 13–15, with the Electing Convention on August 22. The Twelfth Bishop of the Diocese of Tennessee will be consecrated the weekend of January 22–23, 2027. The profile, timeline, and additional information about the search are available here.

Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church and pour out your Holy Spirit upon all who will participate in the process of choosing a bishop for this diocese, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; Grant that all who are called to this sacred office may be filled with the truth of your doctrine, clothed in holiness of life, and devoted to your glory and the flourishing of your holy Church; through Jesus Christ, the shepherd and bishop of our souls, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
