Come to the Green Fund Final Presentations!

The Green Fund Committee invites you to attend this year's round of finalist presentations. The committee will be awarding up to $40,000 to one or more of the finalists whose sustainability projects made it through the rigorous selection process. Finalists will present their projects and then take questions from the audience in a symposium-style event. When: Monday December 13, at 7 to 8 p.m. Where: Alumnae Lounge with a virtual option.

Photo Snow Globes and Hot Chocolate

Celebrate the last day of classes with a photo snow globe and some hot chocolate on Tuesday, December 14, at 11 a.m. at the Mayer Campus Center lobby. First-come, first-served, while supplies last. Sponsored by the TCU Senate and the Office for Campus Life.

Means & Ends: Prison Education Programs and Their Differences

The Petey Greene Program is putting on a virtual prison education panel event on Tuesday, December 14, at noon! We will be joined by three women who have founded prison education programs at universities: Jennifer Lackey, Hillary Binda, and Mary Ellen Mastrorilli. We will discuss the differences between the programs they're a part of, their impact, and more. Anyone who is interested in learning more about prison education and justice work is welcome.

Tufts Campaign School Applications Are Still Open!

Applications for Tufts Campaign School are still open. Don't miss out on this program and the opportunity to engage and network with a diverse group of fellow students and guest speakers. During this weeklong virtual program, you will have the opportunity to produce a digital portfolio that includes polling analysis, campaign talking points and social media strategies all while networking with alumni, campaign leaders, industry experts, and former candidates. Join the Student Affairs Advisory Council

Consider nominating yourself to serve on one of our newly formed Student Affairs Advisory Councils. The Councils will work closely with the Dean of Student Affairs Office to provide essential input and ideas to student life initiatives. Each council will include approximately 20 students and will meet for one hour each month, sometimes more if there are multiple or complex issues to discuss. We hope to complete the recruitment process by December 20.

Final Round, Senior Portraits

Seniors! This is your FINAL chance to have your senior portrait taken. Having your photo taken with the one campus photographers is the only way to get your photo in the 2022 Senior Memory Book. Photographers will be on campus one FINAL time the week of January 31, 2022. Register for your portrait time NOW at ouryear.com and enter Tufts code 267. 2022 Memory Books can now be pre-ordered. Books are mailed to address provided during the ordering process in July 2022.

Apply to Be a Resident Assistant (RA) Over Break!

Applications will be open December 2 to February 1. Make sure to get your application in as soon as possible. To read more about the position and apply, please visit: go.tufts.edu/BeAnRA. If interested in learning more, check out an information session. Feel free to attend either an information session led by a Residential Life Coordinator (RLC) or a virtual one at 7 p.m. on December 14, January 19, or January 25.

Summer Term: Registration Will Open January 4

Summer term registration opens January 4, and courses are available for preview so you can start planning! With daytime, evening, and virtual courses, summer term at Tufts is accessible to all students, whether you want to dedicate yourself fulltime or seek out flexible courses to combine classes with internships, work, travel, or vacation. Students may either live on campus and study in-person or earn credits remotely through a variety of virtual or hybrid options. Check out summer courses!

Academic Reminders

During break, get some R&R and reflect on your semester:
  • Review courses and final grades (posted in early January)
  • Make changes to your Spring schedule if needed
  • Finish Incompletes before classes begin on Jan. 19
  • Visit drop-in advising hours to meet with LA Senior Academic Advisors
Academic Standing takes place in January. You will be contacted by your Advising Dean if you are not making satisfactory progress. Review the criteria for LA BA/BS and EN and BFA students.

Coming Soon: Pre-O Leader Applications

Are you interested in becoming a Pre-Orientation Leader? If so, applications will be opening January 17! To help prepare you for the process, we encourage you to attend one of two Pre-O Leader information sessions. The first will take place on January 19 at 7 p.m. via Zoom. The second will take place on January 20 at 10 a.m. via Zoom. Links and additional details will be found on JumboLife.
